The specification of the particular requirements to acoustically relevant equipment follows as a result of the acoustical design of a power plant.

Reduction of sound emissions

The reduction of the sound emissions is achieved by means of appropriate sound attenuation (silencers) and damping (of buildings and equipment) as well as by use of low-emission equipment (radiator coolers, transformers, compressors and pumps).

Factory and site acceptance tests are made to verify the fulfilling of the requirements to specific equipment and the plant as a whole.
